Throughout the wedding party, the fathers of the newly-weds have an incredible responsibility: make sure all the guests are well fed, and most importanly, well watered.

This posed a problem: my Dad had trouble remembering "Thank you" in Polish for the first few days my parents were in Poland, so lingustic difficulties threatened to put the entire responsibility on Jan, my father-in-law.

But my Dad is not one to shirk responsibility: he carried the basket.

And that was qutie a task, considering how many guests we had.

To była jedna z zabawniejszysz scen tego wesela. Nasi ojcowie i koszyk z alkoholem. Podział obowiązków miał być następujący: gdzie można mówić po angielsku, gości miał zagadywać tata Garego, a gdzie trzeba było mówić po polsku miał mówić mój tata. Nie mam pojęcia jak to ostatecznie wyszło, ważne, że obydwaj wyglądali z tym koszykiem bardzo zabawnie i utkwili w pamięci wielu gości.
