The album

Kinga and I decided we would do something special for them at our wedding — some kind of public (service announcement) acknowledgement of their love and the example it is for all those around them.

We got them a leather photo album with "Namoi and Melvin — 40 years" engraved (for lack of a better word — "carved" perhaps?) on the cover.

For Kinga's parents, we bought a glass painting of the Virgin Mary and child. But Kinga can tell you more about that . . .

Dziękowanie rodzicom weszło już w tradycję polskich wesel. My mieliśmy ku temu szczególną okazję, ponieważ rodzice Garego na poczętku czerwca obchodzili swoją czterdziestą rocznicę ślubu. Tak więc dziękowaliśmy obydwu parom za ich cudowne rodzicielstwo, obdarowaliśmy ich prezentami no i oczywiście wspomnieliśmy o rocznicy. To wszystko wywołało ogromne wzruszenie naszych mam, aż do łez. Nasi ojcowie również nie kryli radości i wzruszenia aczkolwiek byli nieco bardzij powściągliwi.
